Denver Neurological Clinic is proud to be a private practice clinic serving metro Denver and Colorado since 2008. We are a comprehensive neurologic clinic that treats patients for all neurological disorders. The clinic specializes in headache disorders and migraines, trigeminal neuralgia, Botox injections for migraines, trigger point injections, post-concussion syndrome, new therapies for Alzheimer's disease, vestibular disorders, and autonomic disorders (POTS). We serve the patient, independent of outside interests. With over 20 years of neurological expertise, Dr. Justin Moon continues to serve as a preeminent national expert and innovator.


Dr. Justin Moon, MD, MPH

Dr. Justin S. Moon most recently comes from the world-renown Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota where he completed an accredited fellowship in Headache and Facial Pain and is a certified expert in head pain. He is a native of Phoenix, Arizona and grew up as the son of a steelworker. After putting himself through college with a Bachelor of Science in Cell Biology, he completed a Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) and his Doctorate of Medicine (M.D.) at the University of Arizona. He completed his internship and neurology residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Dr. Moon is a board-certified Neurologist and Headache Specialist. He is nationally recognized as a leading Headache Specialist and speaker.



As a clinical researcher, he performs clinical trials on cutting edge medications. Dr. Moon is also an industry consultant assisting on the development of medical therapeutics for Fortune 500 companies. He is a consultant physician to University of Denver Pioneers NCAA teams, Bellator Mixed Martial Arts, NFL BAP program, and a former consultant to the Colorado Avalanche.


Dr. Moon is a consummate teacher and takes special pride in medical education. Over his storied career, he has had the pleasure of training residents, medical students, nurses, and physician assistants as well as many of his medical assistants who have gone on to varied careers within healthcare. Most importantly, he is Dad to four children. He enjoys traveling with his brood and checking off their list of National Park tours which include more than 30 parks to date!

Carolyn Schnieders is a doctorate prepared board certified Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner with over eight years of nursing experience caring for patients in the field of Neurology. Carolyn spent most of her nursing career working at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Arizona where she became particularly passionate about stroke and stroke prevention. She is also particularly interested in headache disorders but sees all general neurology patients. She is certified in Botox administration for chronic migraine and is trained to do occipital nerve blocks as well.


Carolyn is originally from Southern California where her parents still reside. She attended Grand Canyon University for her Bachelor of Nursing degree and Arizona State University for her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree. She moved to Colorado in 2021 with her fiancé and 2 dogs for a more outdoorsy lifestyle. In her free time, she enjoys off-roading in her Jeep, watching movies and playing with her dogs.

Linda Hollyman, MSN, FNP-C, CNRN, SCRN

Nursing is Linda's second career after leaving the world of finance. She received both Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Nursing from Regis University. She holds both Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse (CNRN) and Stroke Certified Registered Nurse (SCRN) board certifications.

 

She is insatiably curious and dedicated to lifelong learning to provide high-quality and individualized care to her patients. As a Colorado native, Linda enjoys skiing and hiking with her husband and four children.

  • What insurance does DNC take?

    • Major commercial payors: United Healthcare, Cigna, Anthem BCBS, Kaiser (May 2024), Aetna, Multiplan, Rocky Mountain Health Plans
    • If you don’t see your insurance carrier listed, please reach out to our clinic.
    • We do not take Medicaid (primary or secondary).
  • Does DNC offer botulinum toxin therapy (Botox injections) for migraines?

    • Yes. Expect 4-6 weeks for prior authorizations. 
    • Injections are given every 12 weeks.
  • Does DNC specialize in leading edge Alzheimer’s disease medication?

    • Yes. Dr. Moon has one of the largest patient groups on Leqembi which was FDA approved in July 2023.
